http://www.zidoo.tv/Support/guide/guide_...yE%3D.html

Basically you install it, you open it, press the button to start writing to a log file, then open media center, play the file until you get the error, go back to the logging app and press the button to stop writing to the file. You can open the file with a normal txt editor and of course, you can submit the file to Zidoo.

I play files larger than 40GBs, mostly BD ISOs. I doubt it is a problem because of the file size.

Thanks Nikos.

I caught the error. It appears to be a sequence error:
VPU_DecCompleteSeqInit failed Error code is 0x1

But it doesn't mean anything to me. It's a problem on the source media encoding?

Has anyone installed the BBC iplayer Android App.
If so have you been able to download programs.Have a Minix that has stopped downloading from about 6 months ago. BBC seem to be aware of the problem with some Android boxes but unable to fix it.

Better notify someone from Zidoo about this. Maybe the user mirror88 who is a Zidoo tech.

BTW, f/w 1.4.2 is on its way...

Yes, I already sent this information to [email protected].
If I got any additional information, I'll reply here.

f/w 1.4.2!? But I have only the 1.2.11... I think is the last stable release.

Thanks

I stand corrected. So, 4K playback isn't the issue (what I was really driving at), just having the UI at 4K is. Agree Zidoo should fix this, but not sure it's a 'major' issue as 4K video playback itself is mostly solid.
Blank screen is under reproduction too, late I'll upload some videos

Has anyone tried to use bitstreaming via Kodi 17.1 on X8 or X9s?

I have set Android Audio Output setting to RAW, and Enable passthrough within Kodi, but I just get choppy audio during playback. From reading Zidoo forums, this seems to be a design issue until a new firmware, but who knows when that'll be.

I would really hate to have to return my X8 to Amazon, because it's the best box supporting 3D ISO and Dolby TrueHD bitstream, but I just can't stand the interface of ZDMC. The buttons just don't feel, skip forward is buggy and Kodi 17.1 is way way more advanced. I just wished X8/X9S would run Kodi 17.1 properly without these issues and it'd be perfect!

Any suggestions on how to deal with the audio issue? I am open to suggestions for another box that supports 3D ISO, as long as it's not HTPC.
Well your only other option is the RPi3. You will have 7.1 HD Audio losslessly decoded to Multichannel PCM Audio and output resulting in no loss in Audio quality.

Or the HiMedia Q5/10 Pro that plays back 23.976fps 3D ISO's and outputs that at 24Hz resulting in Frame Skips ~ every 41 seconds.

What a bunch of people I think wish for is something like a faster, no nonsense AMLogic S905 LibreELEC Kodi Krypton box that supports 1080p 3D like the RPi3 already does.

Ever heard of being "Between a Rock and a Hard Place ?" Wink

PS: You will need IEC Audio support in Android Firmware to get DTS an HD Audio passthrough working in Android Kodi Krypton:
http://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=...pid2409146
Well I should have my X10 by Monday or Tuesday. Will let everyone know how it goes. It in theory should have more developed hardware vs the X8 and X9S due to it being a 3rd rendition of the box, however some have opened theirs up to find the x9s motherboard in it (either Zidoo actually did that or someone bought a fake box). I am running it for 1080p 3D and a 7.2.4 Atmost/DTS:X setup. Seen the posts about bit-stream issues too, kinda worried but fortunately it is bought on Amazon!
Zidoo already admit that the X10 (I have one) is just the same SOC as the X8 and X9S, they don't hide that fact, although neither do they make it clear. The X10 just has a VFD display and HDD bay, that is the only difference.

You wont get Passthrough with Krypton on Zidoo models >X8 until Zidoo role back the hacks they made to the API to get passthrough etc working in V16. They are supposed to be working hard on that now. I wouldn't expect the next Firmware update from Zidoo to include a fork of Krypton yet, but we can wish I suppose Smile
Thats true.
As the said we will have krypton in two steps.
Today we have a new firmware v1.4.4
Until now seems to be good.
(For me jarvis is working very good, so, until the get ready i am not in harry for Krypton)
Seems like a pretty major update:
- Support for 3D BD menus (previous only 2D)
- Auto framerate switching for 23.976
- Addition of 1080p/25 resolution

I'm in the midst of a relo, so can't test... and in fact can't enjoy any home theater until mid-July.
Experiencing the same issue as the previous update.

Deep Color on 4K HDR files not working.
The resolution always changes to 1080 everytime I boot up.
