If hdr is on i have a skewed image at any resolution higher than 1080p, no matter of the settings used. The HDR is detected by the tv, but i am getting proper picture just at 1080p.
My tv is lg 55eg920v.
Any experience/advice?

Which version firmware do you use? We solved a skewed image issue(H.265) in version v1.2.4

the newest one 1.2.6. I think that on 1.2.4 it was ok, but i havent checked the settings, since it worked fine....
I suggest that hdmkv make a review of akaso t95z plus tv box

No one will be at all interested in a review of a "Fully loaded" piece of AML S912 crap running buggy Android Marshmallow 6.0.
These S912 devices should be avoid at all costs. The worst combination for Kodi boxes getting about today.

Any review of a "Fully Loaded" box would go straight into the Rubbish bin anyway.

Anyway this is off Way off topic for this Zidoo thread.
Please confirm if zidoo x9s can play dsf files... These are sacd image file....

Added it in version v1.2.6

Code:
6,2160P50Hz mode added.
7,Frame rate auto switch 2160P50HZ added
Yes i know you did, but it isn't working, i can send you the edid file from my TV if you tell me where the box saves it too.
As said my TV works in 2160p@50hz all day long, that is what my Satellite box outputs at... Mmm but only at 8bit.
Will try the Zidoo later with 8bit, but if that fixes the problem, that will be another auto switching bug.
Do you set the ' Deep color' option to Auto?

You can find "Save EDID on USB stick" in Developer options

With Deep Color set to Auto can not get sync at 3840x2160 @50hz.
With Deep color set to Off 3840x2160 @50hz is fine.

p.s. 3840x2160 @25hz is fine with Deep Color set to Auto / 10bit.

There is a lot of things that do not work on this box automatically.

numbers are in milliseconds. "+" means audio is ahead of video and you have to set the same amount of delay on your AVR to correct the AV-Sync error.

@hdmkv: numbers for Shield 3.3, Kodi 17 beta (10/28)
Dolby TrueHD - +48ms
DTS-HD Master Audio - +48ms
DTS-HD High Resolution Audio - +32ms

Downloaded sample files,Thanks! We'll try to optimize it.
Upgrade:We already optimized all of these files < +60ms,It's a mistake from version v1.2.4
You can test it in v1.2.3 now.

Thanks @wesk05, that's quite revelatory. For DTS-HRA, tested the 'Ant-Man' sample @OlivierQC shared and I definitely notice the a/v synch issue. Same w/the 'Queen Rock Montreal & Live Aid (1981)' concert BD rip I have w/DTS-HRA. Can't say the same for TrueHD/ATMOS, DD+ and DTS-HD MA videos, even though your testing obviously shows offsets pretty high (especially compared to nVidia Shield) for TrueHD in particular (and I imagine ATMOS too). Maybe I'm more sensitive to video judders/microstutters than audio synch issue Tongue.

And thanks @mirror88 for taking all these A/V playback related issues seriously and working at resolving or optimizing.
i´m still on 1.2.3
will update to new 1.2.6 cause i just watched 2 movies
- tarzan 3d: had the green flashing bars again + dts-hd audio issues like stopping for a second or crackling noise now and then
- finding dory : again the green flashing +- 3 times in the whole movie + again dts-hd issues , no sound for a second then it comes back..

Anyone know which of the DSF type to choose? Ripped my SACD's a while ago, but never got around to doing anything w/them...

DSF and DFF finles are identical in terms of the audio content. DSF files allow metadata so I use those (MP3Tag can tag them).
I am pretty sure I already played them with the X9S and it worked (via ZDMC).

That's good to know!

My Zidoo runs through my Denon x2200 to my Samsung.
I'm no expert but it seems to me that with refresh rate switch enabled, the unit is trying to force output at 23.97, maybe the AVR internal clock is correcting this audio to 24hz but still trying to pass the video at 23.97 OR the AVR is playing the audio at 23.97 but the TV is requesting 24hz?
That may explain why the Denon displays '---' in the bit rate when Refresh rate switching is enabled with the bit rate forced.
Yes, I was able to get 10-bit output, but I have problem after the X9S is rebooted. After a reboot, I get no HDMI output. I have to connect the X9S to a different HDMI port on TV or a different display to get the output working again. This issue persists even through power cycles.

Pixel color depth is read from the CD fields in the General Control Packet (GCP). I think there is some issue here that needs to be fixed. Denon AVR issue is unrelated. It probably doesn't have 4K 24 YCbCr 4:2:2 12-bit in its decimal list.
