Thanks, bro you're helpful as always and lightning-fast. With people like you in Kodi team it's a pleasure to donate :-)
In fact - I did not really help you this time, sorry for that. Currently I am really tired.

Btw. if you are fully sure that the output / display matches - you can adjust the TV's brightness values to fine tune the rest.
I'm quite sure that output / display matches - it's the same, just reboot to change kernel. I'm asking since with 4.4 it was OK ("as it should be") and I do not want to change levels since they are now OK for Kodi and also for normal TV (and I've not changed them either). So it all looks quite strange for me.
So , if I install the latest LibreELEC (Krypton) Beta, all this is included by default right?. My CPU it's the Intel Celeron J1900 Baytrail.
Yes - it has kodi v17.
I use KODI v17 on Ubuntu 16.04 server
CPU Core2Duo E4500, NO ext GPU
When playing video everything slows down, the processor is loaded to 100%, FPS = 0.1
If I set Allow hardware acceleration (VAAPI) = OFF, nothing changes, everything freezes and watch videos is not possible Sad

igora100@kodibuntu:~$ dpkg -l |grep mesa | pastebinit

igora100@kodibuntu:~$ DISPLAY=:0 vainfo | pastebinit

We don't support this CPU and we also don't support this 12 year old GPU

Heh Sad
On this hardware without any problems worked KODI16 on Ubuntu 14.
Really, even when turned off acceleration is 0.1 FPS?
Or do I have any problems?
Go to video settings and disable "Dithering" - does that help?

fritsch, maybe you can help me, ot is somewhat off here, but still. If avr is in standby passtrough mode, so audio is sent from Kodi to TV speakers, can I still use my TV remote to controll Kodi with CEC? I plan to buy a new AVR that has hdmi standby passtrough, but not sure if it passes the CEC commands to Kodi if AVR is not turned on.
I don't know - never did something with CEC.
Quote:Update 160626: As libva / libva-driver-intel version 1.7.0 of Xenial has a color issue ( see: https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=94845 ), we use the wsnipex vaapi ppa to use 1.7.1

I assumed this was no longer required as the bug is marked as Fixed.
