Since lightpack is supported by boblight now does anyone have one? I would like to see the final product in action and how it compares to the diy builds.

I have one on order (well a knock off 90 LED one) still waiting but will report back
hi, is there any way to force boblight to recognize what is really on the screen and not what is oin the movie ?

why ?

cause i often zoom movies to eliminate black bars, but lights are showing still unzoomed picture
how can i force them to show what is really on screen ?

when i had windows/xbmc there lightpack works perfect
my rig:
amd e350, radeon,
how do you zoom
Lately whenever I start boblightd it crashes after about 5 seconds, below is my boblightd log:

http://sprunge.us/XhaR
http://sprunge.us/DSCZ

This line looks to be of interest:

23:02:49.944786 (CClientsHandler::GetReadableFd) select() Interrupted system call

Running OE 3.2 generic x64 with teensy v2 + ws2801 led's. Setup was working fine up until recently.

Any suggestions?

This is out of scope of this forum. Either got to the OE forum or to the boblight google code site...
so, is there any solution to my problem ?
No its not implemented to obey the zoomed rect. (needs changes in the core of XBMC - can't be solved by updating the addon only...)
so no hope for me ? damn i have 64" tv with 9mm frame, lights look awesome but only on 16:9 material, those black bars are ruining everything
Depends if someone feels like looking into it (not me). I told it bobo1on1 - no clue if he will get a Crack at it.
You can create a 2nd boblight.conf for movies with hardcoded blackborders.

But that would man that you have to restart boblight everytime you switch from zoomed to normal.

Well I have a lightpack but dont know what to do with it noone seems to have a tutorial on what to do - I assume the boblight.conf file might be different? I would love to hear from someone how to get it working - it seems so easy now with the august raspbmc with other diy strips, but noone seems to be sharing how to get a lightpack working

pleeeeease someone help!

example conf file.

thanks for the reply but i dont think thats for a pi and its not speedy compatible (even changing to 3 char it doesnt know what to do with the serial - or maybe i need to know how to find that out) would love an explanation of each of the conf items in global -just would have thought there would be some raspbmc users out there that could post their conf file as the fact its gone into the build must mean someone is using it?
