VidOn Box == Done

Still in service.
Minix NEO U1 == For BLURAY MENU Fonction with VidOn Kodi
ChromeBox == Still hanging in there until I complete the full migration to the Intel NUC
Funny as I'm Spring-cleaning as well Smile. Getting rid of all my Kodi media boxes except Intel NUC, HiMedia Q10 Pro, RPi3 and nVidia Shield TV.

Post #1 and chart updated, with new champion Intel h/w w/Intel graphics via Kodi MVC Windows build. At this point, can't do better for Kodi-integrated full 3D, HD audio passthru & proper framerates! Plus, to make it a really compelling all-in-one-box, toss in WMC with full live TV/PVR, and Netflix/Amazon HD via Windows app or just Chrome browser. Finally, use Launcher4Kodi and it's almost OpenELEC-like just turn-on-and-use-Kodi experience. What's missing? ... full 4K support, but that should come with Intel's next-gen Kaby Lake by year's end.

Yes, it's on the chart in PQ row. Took/taking some heat for it Wink ... but, just love the Intel MVC PQ, and 2D and all video PQ.

As long as people disable the default noise reduction (which is heinously high) it looks pretty good in 2D in Windows. Haven't tried 3D yet.

what is the proper setup with a windows setup in regards to full color/ limited color, i just got a new AVR and its opened up a bunch of output options with my TV.. but im pretty clueless as to whats best.
With AVR, you should just set the video output to 'through' or something similar.

What AVR did you buy?

so bluray content is all "limited" color space so its better to keep everything set to limited color and not full color, correct?

What do mean disabling the noise reduction?

What AVR did you buy?

Pioneer VSX 1130 K

with it hooked to my TV i can up convert to 4k60p 4:4:4 or 36bit color, probably all not nessasary at all Confused ,But im really loving Atmos even if its only 5.2.2 , i specifically went with this AVR as i can have a full 7.2.2 hooked up and it auto switches from 7.2 to 5.2.2 when needed.. and im into a "nice" AVR for a not so hefty price tag. i thought about going onkyo or Denon but they dont seem to support 9ch input only anything close to my where my budget was. I installed Klipsch RC 1650 Ceiling speakers yesterday to finish it all up and im pretty happy with the setup so far.
I've found video processing on some AVR's causes EDID data coming from the media player or HTPC to be messed up, and causes 3D playback to break.
