Nvidia shield does not have spdif i think.
Quote:Not interested in3D ISO.
Almost any media player can manage HSBS and HTAB type 3D playback you're wanting. Since you're also interested in 4K, I agree with couto on nVidia Shield TV, even if above your stated budget. At le$$, Raspberry Pi2, Chromebox, WeTek Core, and many more options.
Thanks for advice! Does raspberry have wlan? I would like not to play with cable.
Someone wrote at chromebox is a good option too. Is it signifintly better? It will eat everything what I will give him? Include 4k?

All you need is a cheap
USB to spdif adapter..

Nvidia shield...well worth the extra 50€.
3d will come on later date.

Ur telling fairy tales.
3d iso is not even planned
Any final suggestions please. Is the MINIX NEO X8-H PLUS the right box for me or should i stay and watch for WeTek Core.

WLAN = Wi-fi? If so, yes, if you buy a wi-fi adapter (comes with many kits). Chromebox can't do MVC 3D, but other than that, it's faster, more powerful and bitstreams HD audio.

Requested plenty here, but nVidia has previously (after firmware 1.4 was released) stated "no plans to support 3D".

Based on what I've read about WeTek Core, I think it would be the better 4K plus half-rez 3D box. Supposed to be getting a unit for review, but they're trying to manage a limited supply at this point apparently.

This is a bit of a cross-post, but could a HTPC running Linux (or perhaps Windows) support 3D MVC playback? I'm talking about "Full 3D HD" framepacking and not the half-resolution side-by-side videos.

HTPC running Windows with an External player (PowerDVD or TotalMediaTheater)
⇑ This. But, solution feels a bit kludgy. Not that set-top box feel.
