his inconvenience , Maybe it's due to incorrect settings for your 4k panel , in madVR (Devices>Display Modes setting up  2160p60, 2160p59, 2160p50, 2160p24, 2160p23  instead of  1080p60, 1080p59, 1080p50, 1080p24, 1080p23  in my opinion it should be this the problem that  Kodi shrinks to a little box in the top corner of your desktop
Since the last version I have this bug. When I start playing a video after being idle for a while. The video is not centered and lowered so you are missing subtitles and you have a black bar above... Please fix this everything was working flawlessly. The only fix is restarting kodi everytime this happends. ;(

Thanks for you input, I have it set as you described  ( i.e. 2160p60, 2160p59, 2160p50, 2160p24, 2160p23 ) also the screen resolution is automatically set to UHD res in Kodi

Thanks guys for all your help

Think the only inconvenience is that when I stop play back of a 4K movie Kodi shrinks to a little box in the top corner of my desktop but it's still controllable (doesn't crash)
Glad to be of help. Smile

I also have this issue with my setup.
when I stop play back of a 4K movie Kodi shrinks to a little box in the top corner of my desktop but it's still controllable.

I have the settings suggested here in madVR but it didnt do anything.
One thing i have noticed is if I press TAB and then stop the movie it reverts back to kodi in the correct fullscreen mode.
i have problems switchign tv channels with dspayer/madVR/ac3 filter if two channels have different audio codecs. Is it possigle to interrupt the ts buffer and reopen it between the two channels?

 Why are you using AC3filter?
D3D11 exlusive (8bit)
P010, 10 bit, 4:2:0

MadVR set to 10bit
Desktop set to 2160p 10bit

My TV is native 10bit

Why (8bit)? Why not (10bit)?

Questions like these would be better directed at madVR thread on Doom9, I think.

Try FSE and/or RGB Full and select 12bit during playback just as a test.  If it works, you might want to consider calibrating using Full on your display and using 0-255 in DSPlayer while retaining RGB Full 12bit setting.

Nothing to be sorry about, man. Smile

I just thought that maybe there you could have better chances of getting answers. You were not offtopic here, as far as I am concerned. Smile

With dvbviewer.pvr addon didnt work too. DSPlayer didnt start at all.

anyone else with 4k amd card getting system hangs when DS player is paused and left for a short while, suspect its the creators fall update FSE problem as i get no BSOD, no minidump and nothing in events, same as I get when pressing stop on 3D movies, problem is, its not clear if this is a MADVR or KODI DS issue.
