changing the display from 1080P 23hz fixed the problem of the blackscreen, Kodi is not switching to the correct resolution. Should I try with madvr instead?
if you are using portable like me just copy them straight of the top of these from the installation folder in program files.
Here:
C:\Program Files (x86)\LAV Filters\x86
to here or you equivalent folder:
\KODI DS\system\players\dsplayer\LAVFilters
ive had another look at 3D, here are some more findings.
My dropped frames when not using FSE were caused but the fact I had 2160p24 as well as 2160p23 in display modes, this has never worked well for me, I forgot I added the other day just to watch a video which 24fps. So I had another go at 3D without FSE, boom !, worked great but still black screens.
ok, so I tried something else, what about using both FSE and windowed overlay together.... boom no black screens, it even drop back to my proper desktop res 2160p60hz - I havent had this working for months, if not more than a year.
I am finding another bug a the moment which is starting to plague me more and more, randomly the 3D movie will start ok but play in a tiny little window top left, if I stop and play again sometimes its ok, sometimes I have to come all the way out and in again, not really sure what is causing this intermittent issue, its DS though as it never does it with MPC-HC.
How do you use both together?
you should have KODI DS set to MADVR/user active profile, then go into MADVR and tick (1) - enable windowed overlap (windows 7 and new) - (2) - enable automatic fullscreen exclusive mode (2) - use Direct3D 11 for presentation....
all others should be unticked.
FSE should also be ticked in KODI DS
Did as you said. Appears to work although dsplayer and external have way more freak glitches than before. Also external is working with reclock but dsplayer only working with sanear anyone got reclock working?
I'm having a new problem.
Some videos are playing back in slow motion, the audio is in slow motion aswell. About a quarter of the speed.
This also happens when playing back YouTube videos aswell
It's not every video or a network issue (4K plays fine from the same folder)
I can't work it out
Post a picture of the OSD (Ctrl + J) during playback without having the image paused. Did you change the video speed somewhere in the video settings during playback?

I think the problem is with ac3filter if i open ac3 and change any setting the video plays fine and if disable ac3 for pcm the video plays fine (although then i lose 5.1 on everything else)
But after changing a setting, which makes the video play ok if i stop and start the video, it's in slow-mo again.
Edit while typing:
I worked it out i was being a moron,
i had ac3filter AND lav audio splitter running, looks they was both fighting for the audio stream, i disabled lav and all is good now.
Strange that it only did it for a couple of videos and YouTube, but nevermind, thanks for listening warner306
Someone still uses ac3filter? I thought it was obsolete. Reclock does the same thing. I thought lav could do it too

Haven't tried reclock, my sound system only supports Dolby Digital, (and stereo) i tried but i couldn't get lav to convert DTS to DD 5.1 it just always ended up in stereo. ac3 has been flawless
ReClock is only 32-bit. There were many requests for a 64-bit version, but it never happened.
I'm running 32 bit kodi so reclock should work
The last time I tried ReClock, it was working correctly, but that was some time ago. I don't know what might have changed if it is still selectable as an audio renderer in DSPlayer.
