Angelscry Wrote:Ok... Have you activated the Use a fullscreen window rather than true fullscreen option that is present into XBMC system settings?
I've tried both, enabled and disabled that option and results are the same, the application remains on background and i must use alt+tab to manually switch to it. Also i've noticed that using other apps, like Safari it works (but it takes a few seconds to hide XBMC); but even with other apps XBMC does not switch back when i close the app (Safari browser, for example).
I think that problem is with the routine that it's detecting if the app is running or not, may be it's looking for a window and not looking for a process...
bakito Wrote:just a word about onlive...it work fine without any script!
just launch a .lnk!
cheers
Ok... Strange that the .lnk works and not the executable file. Maybe the .lnk shortcut contain a specifc command line to start the Online application?
XBMCWin Wrote:Hm.. Your tutorial for batch-files suggested "pskill -t XBMC.exe" < that's the line I am using!
But it is not the more safer way to do it.

Problem is that it did not require any routine for that. Once the started application is closed, it automatically give hand and focus to XBMC. I have asked several time to XBMC developers if it will be possible to add a "maximize" built-in" option into XBMC (a "minimize" option exists but not a "maximize"). Actually the only solution I have found is to use a intermediate script that will force XBMC to maximize :
http://www.gwenael.org/forum/viewtopic.php?id=199. This method works with "XBMC true fullscreen" and "XBMC fullscreen window" modes but require the installation of the nircmd application and the use of a .bat file.
When the final version of Eden will be released I will works on that point and try to solve this problem. But Actually the current stable version of XBMC is the Dharma version and my main focus is on this version.
I jsut installed Eden beta 2 and I'm having a problem withe Fusion.
Unable to create Primary Surface:
Operation requires the application to have exclusive mode but the application does not have exclusive mode
fr500 Wrote:Now, if you want to group them together it's actually easier. First of all create a folder with steam desktop shortcuts (like the one we'd have created in the post above), Once you have the shortcuts create a FILE LAUNCHER and select launcher_regular.bat, arguments would be %rom% that is there by default and gameoverlayui.exe, be sure to select the fil path to the path where you put all your steam shortcuts, and select the rom type to .url.
How do you enter multiple arguments? I assume I'm doing that or something wrong for when i try to run a steam game I receive this windows message and XBMC crashes:
"Windows cannot find
'c:\xbmc\games\shortcuts\"C:\Users\Jaycup\Desktop\Games\Hamilton's Great Adventure.url" .lnk', Make sure you typed the name correctly, and then try again."
Here's what I did:
1. I created a file launcher using "launcher_regular.bat"
2. I selected the file path of my Steam shortcuts: "C:\Users\Jaycup\Desktop\Games"
3. I input "url" as the file type.
4. I input "%rom% gameoverlayui.exe" as the arguments.
I tried several different games and received this message every time. Please help, Thanks!

If it only happen with the Fusion skin, it is a skin problem.

If you want to use several arguments you have to be sure that your
launcher_regular.bat file support several arguments entries. I do not really understand what you want to do here. What is the goal of the
launcher_regular.bat file? What is it's contain (use
pastebin)? But, according to you error message there is clearly a problem with the full path creation and it is directly caused by the
launcher_regular.bat file.

I am following this tutorial (
http://forum.xbmc.org/showpost.php?p=848...count=2310) on how to create a file launcher for Steam games in Advanced Launcher. I followed the tutorial exactly as it stated. I assumed it was because i inputted the arguments in the wrong format.
If this tutorial is incorrect, could you direct me to somewhere that explains how to add steam games into Advanced Launcher?
Thanks for the help!
angel: my mistake I check today, I put the exe of onlive, not a shortcut....
but this actually without any problem...well I just check and it USED to work
onlive doesn't launch anymore...unbelievable...I just use it some days ago....
maybe some update,I don't know ,really strange...
I'll try again later see what's going on!
have a good day
cheers
edit: don't understand a thing...onlive work again, the only difference between my test is that the first time I use my remote control the second time my 360 pad ( which onlive use natively)...don't know if this has an impact...
so I guess I'm not helping anything here ! I'll just shut up
have a nice day
cheers

Not Fusion the skin, Fusion.exe Genesis Emu (3.64) I'm still using the same Transparency! skin.
I have read from a poster having the same problem in a previous post from 2009 that they needed to "toggle wait state" but I don't understand what they meant.
Anyone running FCEU for NES with this add on? None of the arguments I use are working. I'm also having issues setting up Daphne too. I'm VERY new to Daphne, but the emulator is working under Maximus Arcade.
I was able to get MAME to work by using this argument:
%romfile%
I tried using the default argument %rom% with MAME at first, but it didn't work. I did fix it with the above argument I mentioned.
I tried using the %romfile% argument with FCEU, but I get weird errors when I use it.
I have about 6 emulators and they all work using Maximus Arcade. I looked into my Maximus Arcade settings to get help, but no special arguments are needed for games to run with it.
I've been running emulators for years and never had to use any special arguments for them to work.
If anyone knows what arguments I need to use with FCEU or Daphne, please help me out.
Thanks in advance.
This answer is a little vague but from what I remember when I set up Daphne was that within Daphne there is an option to show the command line used for launching games. I copied this line and created separate .bat files each game.
Sorry if that is not much help but im away from that pc at the moment so cant check in more detail.

Ok... So... If you use .lnk files, and want to start them with a specific launcher, you need to desactivate the "Shortcut (.lnk) support" option into the "Advanced Options" menu of the selected Launcher (context menu). I think I will solve your problem.

Ho.... this Fusion !!!!
Hummmm... seems that XBMC and Fusion have a display conflict. What you can try :
- Check that you have activated the "Use a fullscreen window rather than true fullscreen" option that is present into XBMC system settings.
- If it's not working, try to desactivate (or activate) the "Toogle XBMC fullscreen" into the "Advanced Options" menu of the selected Launcher (context menu).
- If it's not working, try to see if you cannot setup "Fusion" to use a different video rendering.
- If it's not working, the last solution is to close XBMC before starting Fusion then restart XBMC after Fusion been closed using a .bat script. But when I have wrotten the WIKI tutorial, I have not needed to use this solution. You will found this kind of script here : http://www.gwenael.org/forum/viewtopic.php?id=6
