- XBMC version number
- Dolphin version number
- Content of you launchers.xml file (use pastebin service to post here)
- Also you can try to start XBMC from the terminal, try to start Dolphin from XBMC/advanced launcher and look and report here the error message displayed into the terminal window.
Ubuntu Natty 11.04
XBMC 11.0 Eden Beta-3
Dolphin 3.0
launchers.xml:
http://pastebin.com/tH7hzQ2N
The error message is
Code:
sudo: /usr/bin/dolphin-emu: command not found
with those setting.
If I enter in a terminal
Code:
dolphin-emu -e "/home/dr/RAID_6/Games/Gamecube/Super Smash Bros. Melee/Super Smash Bros. Melee.iso" -b
The game launches fine, however there isn't a means of entering this into the launcher config options.

According to your information the
dolphin-emu executable file is not installed (as normal) into the
/usr/bin directory. You can quickly and dirty fix this by editing the
launchers.xml file and replace
/usr/bin/dolphin-emu by simply
dolphin-emu. But the proper way too proceed is try to found where is installed the
dolphin-emu executable file on your system, and change the executable file information of the launcher directly from the XBMC/Advanced Launcher GUI.

Thanks for the super quick and helpful replies. It was installed in /usr/games/dolphin-emu.

I just uninstalled it and reinstalled to make sure I was running the latest version.

You have this error because MAMEWorld scrapers have been replaced by arcadeHITS ones, but your Advanced Launcher settings file stilll referring to MAMEWorld scrapers. You just have to delete the
settings.xml file located into your
xbmc/userdata/addon_data/plugin.program.advanced.launcher directory. I'm sorry about that... but I did not found a elegant way to avoid this possible problem.
ah yes!
just I needed!
"sorted" ...of course....
http://code.google.com/p/xbmc-advanced-l...gin.py#622
Is that line there for a reason? I've commented it out locally and it's much more convenient now to pull information from a site and move on to the next game. With that line in, the window refreshes after each info is pulled, and I have to keep scrolling back to the current game. This way the game stays selected.
Thanks for the addon!

This line is here to refresh the information and normally after using this function the focus stay of the last modified game. Which version of XBMC and which skin are you using?
Dharma stable, Alaska Revisited. I ask because when I import just a cover or fanart, that line doesn't get run and everything refreshes fine and stays in place. Just info was giving me a problem, due to that line.

I'm not able to reproduce your problem. For me all is working correctly.
Also it is strange that it happen for you only when you import info... because functions to import cover and fanart have exactly the same line at their code end (line 459 end line line 547)...
Hmmm got a feature request... maybe nonsense but it could be nice. Ability to mark games (or comics) as finished, that way you could mark a game as finished and the skin standard overlay should appear.
I just think it would be nice

It could be a good feature. But, I have to check if it is possible to manage this with skins and XBMC for Program Items. I'm not sur it is possible.
Hi,
Im totally lost with this. I was able to get the addon and launch IE from within XBMC. I have no clue about to roms and games. Are they available from the Repository or do you have to get them yourself?
A quick bug report - I deleted my settings.xml, installed 1.7.9, and tried to scrape my MAME collection from scratch (i deleted the existing known games, and re-scanned with the existing launcher) using the new ArcadeHITS scraper. I set it to automatic, replace existing files for data/thumbs/fanart, but the scraper errors out after scanning the first rom, saying "index out of range". I've included my logfile at this link:
http://pastebin.com/fQfBH7Rn
Can you take a look when you get a chance? Thanks! FYI, the addon seems to work perfectly for all the other systems/scrapers, so i think the problem is confined to just MAME.
EDIT: Now that i look at it closer, it looks like it's looking at the description for the first rom it hits on line 253, then the second rom on line 254, *then* it errors out. Dunno if that helps or not, but there it is.
