OK, I really think I'm going crazy here. I'm using Frodo with the Aeon Nox skin and the latest version of Advanced Launcher, and I can't get scraping to work right. Long story short, it doesn't seem to be scraping from the category I set it to.

Let me give you an example. I set up the Dolphin emulator with my Wii games and set the scraping to TheGamesDB for everything. If I scrape automatically, it thinks both "Dead Rising: Chop Til You Drop" and "Dead Space Extraction" are "Lef for Dead 2." If I try to manually modify the datas/info, the correct titles aren't an option. Even though I set up the launcher to be "Wii," it is showing me games from all platforms...everything with "dead" in the title, so "Left for Dead 2," "Red Dead Redemption," etc. I can only see 20 results, and the correct option isn't listed.

Other examples are Metroid: Other M --> Metroid (NES), Sonic & Sega All Stars Racing --> Sonic CD (Sega CD), etc. Once again, I have the launcher set to Wii.

Any help would be much appreciated!

I have the same problem only Google works,I only use windows games.

I have just checked. Effectively, it seems that there is something wrong with TheGamesDB scrapper. I will try to see If I can found what is wrong. But keep 2 think in mind : between all the game database supported by Advanced Launcher, TheGameDB is the worth and also TheGameDB do not want XBMC users to acces their stuff.

No... they all works. It would be better to tell that you don't know how use them. If you have any problem concerning scrapping post your question here.

I have found the problem. It will be fixed by version 2.0.13 in few minutes.

Version 2.0.13 : This new version of Advanced Launcher bring some fixes to The GamesDB scrapers (data, thumbs and fanarts) that wre not displaying results for game titles containing special characters :

Changelog :

Fix TheGameDB scrapers (info, thumbs and fanarts).

I did not want my comment to be negative,I have the correct names for all games.
I've never had a problem with the scanning games with GamesDB.I just said that I get thumbs and fanart only from
google scrapers.Advanced launcher work normally,maybe I have a problem with my pc I don't know

Is here a tutorial on how to scrape a game to XBMC Games menu?

Now concerning the Games menu it is linked to the skin you are using. XBMC do not natively had any Games menu entry. So we cannot really help you if we don't know which skin you are using.

I wonder if anyone can help me. I'm using Advanced Launcher to launch the Kylo Web browser. I would like to be able to launch Kylo, close XBMC and visa versa. I knowledge of .bat files and the like is rather limited. Is there anyone how could assist?

Hi All

I have a weird issue, and I guess maybe I am messing something up in setup.

Basically what I have done its gone to my steam library, right clicked on my games and "create desktop shortcut"

As you all know this create URL files. I then used this tool that I found on Advanced Launchers forums: http://www.gwenael.org/forum/viewtopic.p...1134#p1134

This tool converts the URL shortcuts that steam provides into LNK files.

I then collected these LNK files, put them into a folder.

In Frodo Aeon Nox. I installed Advanced Launcher.

- Created a category called "GAMES"
- In GAMES I created a standalone launcher, directing to each of the LNK files
- Set no parameters
- Set IBM PC
- Set paths for Thumbs/Fanart
- Did this for all the LNK files created previously
- Did the whole scrape the new launchers etc, getting info, art ect.

So now in GAMES (which I made as a home menu items) all the games are listed great.

Now heres the issue, a few work perfectly (for example Dirt 2), however there are a few (so far NBA 2k14 & Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit) that when it loads up the game there is no sound in the game Huh

When I load the LNK files manually (outside of XBMC/Advanced Launcher) they work perfectly running with sound etc.

So yeah does anyone have any ideas as to whats up. Surely I must be doing something wrong?

That's surely XBMC an it audio engine that disallows some games to play sound. Which version of XBMC are you using? Normally version 12.2 had fix this problem. What is your audio settings under XBMC?

Um at work at the moment, I only installed Frodo like 2 or 3 weeks ago so the version should be pretty recent (I grabbed it from the main download page).

In audio I think I have analog and directsound: AMD HDMI set from memory although I'll have to check. I did try HDMI and Directsound: AMD HDMI, but I had that massive lag fest issue (in videos) that lots of others have had so changed back to these settings for a fix.
