It runs well. Very usable.

Hey, I have on tvshows library counter, "3000 unwatched" and "3000 watched"...which is a bug.
What is happening?

PS: I have multidisk season spread. I know its a bug that has not been corrected in ages (giving me more tv shows than I have) but the above sentence never happened before on frodo.

Maybe something wrong in the export library to single file in frodo?
Im running Gotham on portable mode

AN 4 is very heavy with extra artwork, more view options, that sort of thing. If you like all the eye candy it's very nice but also requires a great deal of processor power to load when navigating. If you try to run it on most portable devices or smaller dedicated devices like the ATV it will be very slow or not run at all.

You mean in the video info screen? If so, update to a newer XBMC nightly build fixes that.

Hopefully this doesn't mean it will be totally tame compared to the look of 4.1.9. I love Nox! Nox is the reason I keep coming back to xbmc! I love all the customization on my htpc. If you want less customization use Amber. It looks like Nox with a lot less options so it runs on less powerful devices.

I will be installing 5 shortly and hopefully it at least has the option to turn on the heavier stuff for beautifying my htpc! Lol. But seriously Nox is the best!

There is also a version of 4.1.9 being ported to Gotham http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=185290

Currently, it does not. It's a simpler version of Nox. It isn't done(Missing views and such) but it will not be super artwork heavy like 4.x.

You have a menu item for Porn?!?

If we are currently running the previews, once the final version is out will we lose all of our customizations and settings, or will all of that transfer over? Any timeline when this will be available in XBMC repo? Are you going to wait until Gotham in final or release it sooner?

You have a menu item for Porn?!?

I've found a porn menu item works well. I linked it straight to the first episode of a drama my missus refused to even try (Sleepy Hollow). When I got home that night surprisingly she'd 'stumbled' across the episode and enjoyed it

As regards the backgrounds, for main menu items just select "Set multi-image background" from the "Set item background" and browse to a folder containing the backgrounds you want to show. If you're wanting it for a sub-menu item, then it's only possible with some hacking of the skin.

It might be possible that some things might need to be set again during updates of the previews. In next update for example, there will be an option to set live cases backgrounds for custom playlists, this needs alteration of the code for that, so those need to be selected again in the customizer. But that should be an exception and my aim is to have settings survive during the updates and final release.
I hope to have a final version on the official repo (just) before Gotham final.
