Thanks on my end it works as expected

new update, sofar so good, no problems noted. new update converted to my skin no problems, thank you. Im going to put the "on Demand" back on the side menu, for me its just something i like... all in all great job. thanks again as always

Browse was already put on the sidebar...

Ondemand should be left as a four part choice like in default skin...

Hi Guys, just wanted to share the solution to my issue that I'm quite pleased about. Perhaps it'll help someone else who's having the same issue.

Before I start, just wanted to add that 6.3x is amazingly fast! Didn't get a chance to chime in a few weeks ago.

Anyway...

A while ago I posted over here about an issue I was having after moving from 4.7 to 6.3x http://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=221352&page=3

My TV shows began stretching off into infinity. When I clicked on a new show, I'd get the tail end of the show listed in the EPG, then something else random would start. The EPG looked a little something like this:



Anyway, I tried everything I could think of, every setting was toggled, channels were added, channels were removed etc. Eventually on a second machine I installed a new version of Kodi, PTLV, helper add-ons etc. Once I linked my shared media, I had the same issue.

Which made me wonder. Nobody else seemed to be reporting the issue, and the only commonality between the two machines was the share media. I use locally scrapped NFO meta-data media instead of letting KODI load from TVDB. I erased my local .nfo's for my episodes, re-scrapped and voila! Works like a charm.

I use Ember to build my metadata.

So here's the thing: comparing my movie .nfos to my tv .nfo's we see what's causing the issue in the runtime tag

Movie:
<runtime>95 min</runtime>

TV:
<runtime>1294</runtime>

Now this seemed to be ok in 4.7 I'm not sure if some logic got dropped, or I was just really lucky with what got load in EPG

Anyway I thought I'd point it out. Hope it saves someone some time

Ever since this latest update I've been getting a notice saying that I need to activate my Donor features--thing is as far as I know I should be activated already(!) since it's the first thing I do when going for an autotune,
Any ideas what is going on here?

Yes I did that. I do see "Favorites" under UPnP Media Servers (Auto-Discover) -> HDHomeRun DMS 131F6F63 -> Favorites and I see channels listed. However, under UPnP Media Servers (Auto-Discover), the first entry is FIOSTV_18550F16F772 which is the FIOS set top box, the second entry is HDHomeRun DMS 131F6F63 which is my HDHomerun PRIME.

I don't see how that would matter... PTVL looks for HDHR, What exactly happens when you autotune prime?

I did the following under General i enabled "Force channel reset on next start". Then under AutoTune I set Find HDHomeRun to Prim/Extend - Favorites. Then press OK. When I try to launch I see the AutoTune briefly pop up and then I get a pop up which says No Channels Configured.

Luna, autotune now works as expected with favorite channels. I still have the HDHomerun as a path under the file manager. That may be the magic bullet for those having trouble.

+1 and i'll get a notice to set up subscriptions which I did with my gmail account.

Could anybody point me in the right direction how to use the ondemand (the color buttons) in the epg? I read in this thread that it can be done with a real remote or keyboard. Is it also possible with Yatse?

Have you tried reentering your user:pass info?

HDHR auto tuning is "independent", hehe from Kodi... So doubtful source paths matter....

Setup for Remote
Using the keymap editor, I was able to map these keys to my Logitech Harmony One (Global-Virtual Keyboard-Teletext Colors). Then I used an advancedsettings editor to enable multimedia keys.

Yatze
If you're going to use Yatse, then simply use the keymap editor to map these keys to keyboard shortcuts. Enable mediakeys. Then in yatze just create a new custom command (Press the remote button on the left hand side next to the keyboard button, add media center command, keyboard key, and give it a name and input the shortcut that you made)

My media buttons now work but this is what I get:

In the changelog, the OnDemand/DVR/Addons features are still listed as a work in progress and I've tested this on both Windows and Linux and get the same thing. But the buttons do work because I'm able to click between OnDemand and EPG. I hope this helps you, I went through a lot of head scratching and experimentation.
