Ok essam315, thanks for having tried !
Hi everyone. I have a Mix Box 3 running Oreo. I tried several times to run netflix addon but always get an error message. For installation, I followed the instruction on the first post. Here's the kodi.log

Any help is appreciated because I am stuck.

This might fix your problem.

Thanks! It worked! But still, it is a bit annoying to know non-ASCII profiles cause the addon to crash!

(2019-01-08, 16:34)Roskor Wrote: [ -> ]I am using Kodi 18 on Tinker Board S with the 0.14.1 and it runs but its very laggy.
When i play regular movies they play without problem even 2K, but netflix lags a lot. Anyway to fix this

This is my log https://paste.kodi.tv/ejadebicib.kodi
Try to lower the resolution to 720p, right click on the Netflix plugin icon and press on "Settings", in "Account" press on "Inputstream Addon Settings", in "Max. Resolution secure decoder" choose "720p", and press on "OK", Netflix plugin uses software decoding only, other software may use hardware decoding which makes them capable of decoding higher resolutions.

Try using 0.13.21, it might be better for your device because VP9 is not enabled in 0.13.21 by default (VP9 usually slower than h264), uninstall 0.14.1 first.

I tried and 720 lags too, I even lowered to 420 and it plays almost without lag. I wonder why on my raspberry I don't have that problem. The Thinker Board S has much better specs than the RPI3
I will try with the other version.
Testing de addon, found two problems:

- interactive content (like the new black mirror Netflix movie) doesnt work (you get a message saying the system is not qualified for it) - anybody found a workaround?

- 4k content doesnt seem to play, playback never starts, the wheel spins forever. Seems to happen with all content that is available in 4k even if I set kodi to 1080p disable resolution switching.

Running kodi leia rc4 on ubuntu. HD-only content on netflix works fine.

Try to lower the resolution to 480p, in your operating system, the movies and TV shows with the 4k tag, the maximum resolution for them is 1080p only, 4k playback with the Netflix plugin only available on some android devices like Nvidia Shield.
Hi i installed 0.14.1 on my NUC7i5bnh and NETFLIX ORIGINALS is gone.

Is this a known issue?

It will return back, just press on All TV shows or All movies and you will find Netflix Originals inside them.
@essam315  thanks
I could fix the no-playback issue by turning off HEVC and VP9 support in the netflix addon configuration which I read somewhere is applicable to android only.

Now all netflix content plays in 1080p in my linux hptc seamlessly. Who would have thought 3-4 years ago. Will keep digging on 4k support in linux.

For those looking for interactive content support, there is a bug opened in github. https://github.com/asciidisco/plugin.vid...issues/597
Which is the best version of the netflix add-on to use with the nvidia shield? The one I'm using now is 14.x not sure which one it was posted in this thread. It stops working after playing one or two episodes in netflix. Other than that it works great and the native refresh rate switching is what netflix really needs. Thanks

Try this unofficial 0.14.2, some minor fixes, and VP9 is optional again (disabled by default).
