I have KODI & your add-ons running on my raspberry pi and i would have WebGrab ++ running on my windows laptop, would your addon still work that way? Also does the file update its self (in terms of upcoming programmes) or would I have to keep downloading the tv guide to get next weeks programme viewing?

Hopefully that makes sense. Your help is much appreciated.

You need to schedule Webgrab++ to run every day or so depending on how many days of programs you like. I just have 2.

If you use LibreELEC on your raspberry pi it has a built-in service for Webgrab++ that runs every six hours.
It will be more configurable in a forthcoming release.

I use a Windows7 computer as my home server which runs Webgrab++ every night using the Task Scheduler.
The action I use for the task is "C:\Program Files\ServerCare\WebGrab+PlusV1.1.1\WebGrab+Plus.exe"
and the argument is the folder with the config files in. For me it is "e:\xmltv"

I will be doing more research into this and find the best possible set up. Also can I just download files from http://webgrabplus.com/epg-channels#s12B and then put it on a USB stick, place it in the raspberry pi and then find the file and connect it to you TV Guide Fullscreen addon using the XMLTV file option in your addon settings.

Sorry for all the question. aha

Those are just the files that configure webgrab to be able to scrape the tv providers.
You need to put them in the folder that webgrab likes or specify a folder on the command line.

You are just going to have to sit down with a cup of coffee and read some of their documentation and try out a few things.
They have a QuickStart guide at:
http://webgrabplus.com/documentation/quick-start
and mine is on the first page of my addon.
@primaeval, thanks again, I am using pt-br language.
Sorry, I forgot to inform you that in movies and TV shows works well, doesn't match for local programs imagens.

Hinkel

thetvdb.com does have mainly English shows but English local TV is hit and miss too.

If you find a good searchable source for pt-br images let me know and I'll try to add it in.

Are the new version 0.0.172 name matching Settings helping prevent bad matches?
Hi I found this .....

http://www.webgrabplus.com/sites/default...NY_USA.xml

Is there a way to convert it to xmltv, so it can work as an XMLTV Source in the TV Guide Fullscreen addon?

That is the channel config file for yo.tv. You need to select which channels you want and add them to the WebGrab++.config.xml file. Then put the associated .ini file in the same directory and run webgrab. My addon automates those steps for you. All you need to do is install webgrab and its update.

Try following my QuickStart and tell me where you get stuck. Go slow and read everything twice.
I will test the latest version. As mentioned earlier the skin.helper service works well for me. thanks again.
I downloaded WebGrabber+ on my windows laptop and followed all the installation instruction provided on their website as well as some youtube videos. How do I add my own channels and create a guide? Do i just use notepad to edit the guide.xml file?

Thank you for your help in advance.

My set up is running Kodi on the raspberry pi (and your Web grab+Plus Configuration add-on) and my windows laptop running WebGrabber+ as well as holding the files from WebGrabber++ . I'm using a SMB file sharing connection so Kodi can access files on my computer. When I run web grabber is says "Starting" them "add-on error".

Any ideas on what the problem could be?

Edit #1: To add what should the Config Output folder be? Should it be on my laptop or Raspberry Pi Kodi?
Edit #2: I've noticed that the xmltv.xml file isn't being created. Is there a reason why?!?

Start on Windows so you know exactly what is happening to what files when and where.
Look inside them with a decent text editor. I use Notepad++ these days.

Then go on to LibreELEC on the raspberry pi and use these settings in
/storage/.kodi/userdata/addon_data/script.webgrab/settings.xml
Make sure you have installed the LibreELEC webgrab service from their repo.

Code:
<settings>
<setting id="config_output_folder" value="/storage/.kodi/userdata/addon_data/service.webgrabplus/" />
<setting id="exe" value="/storage/.kodi/addons/service.webgrabplus/bin/webgrabplus.start" />
<setting id="mdb" value="false" />
<setting id="mdb_grab" value="false" />
<setting id="mdb_run" value="false" />
<setting id="proxy" value="" />
<setting id="proxy_password" value="" />
<setting id="proxy_user" value="" />
<setting id="rex" value="false" />
<setting id="rex_grab" value="false" />
<setting id="rex_run" value="false" />
<setting id="timespan" value="2" />
<setting id="update" value="0" />
<setting id="user_agent" value="" />
<setting id="xmltv_name" value="guide_wgp.xml" />
<setting id="xmltv_output_folder" value="/storage/.kodi/userdata/addon_data/service.webgrabplus/" />
</settings>

The output xmltv file should end up here
/storage/.kodi/userdata/addon_data/service.webgrabplus/guide.xml

which you can add to TV Guide Fullscreen
if you turn on
Kodi \ System \ Appearance \ File Lists \ Show Hidden Files and Directories.

Okay thanks! Will follow those instructions. I'm using OSMC to run kodi should I download LibreELEC instead?

Yes. Their webgrab service is an exclusive right now.
