Sounds like you didn't install youtube correctly, or have the old one installed. Make sure you setup the api keys correctly for youtube/account and it should work.
If I could find an official link to give you on the process I would, but I can't find one atm sorry.  Google might help for that though

Now when I play music videos the picture is a bit fuzzy. How can I restore the default players that came with the Kodi install?

DISREGARD all of this if you're on v18

First, that repo IS OLD and OUTDATED.
- The Aura skin linked there is from on Mar 25, 2019 for v18 and is one update away from the final jurial update ever for that skin.
- And the AuraMod Skin is from on Mar 17, 2021 Kodi v18

Second, please acquire the LATEST versions of those skins from their respective updated githubs.

I love aura mod with Netflix Style. I've been using it as my daily driver for sometime now. Recently I acquired a TV with bad gray uniformity tho, and I wonder if there is a way to change the dark gray background to black or other colors?

Yeah as far as I know you can:

Go into Settings > Skin Settings > Color >:
I think the setting you're looking for is `Background overlay color`

I could be wrong though, if I am please post a picture so I see where you're talking about exactly.

hi. I can't find any amount for the auramod skin.  that's why I'm just asking here.  maybe someone can tell me what the widget settings are for.  it's about ... (widget info slide) and about (widget showcase overlay).  what do they do?  when i activate it i see no difference.
