Never mind..figured it out. InputStream Adaptive was enabled. After I disabled it skipping worked as it used to….
What is InputStream Adaptive for anyway?

you could try to turn off InputStream Adaptive in the plug-in setting….

Great! Thank you.! It works fine!
Dear experts,
Could you please help me understand why I have this situation?
Kodi Addon Repository 3.3.1 shows YouTube addon version 7.0.2.2, but if I go to Github, I can download the 7.0.3.2?
I’m sorry if I ask something obvious!
Thanks!
Thanks for mentioning the alpha 7. I had the same issue but was running v18.9 Leia since I found no reason to upgrade.
Installed the latest v20.5 and YT 7.0.3.2 which ran quite well but I had no subtitles.
Downgraded to 7.0.0 and YT broke. Alpha was the sweet spot.
I’m sorry, but my question was about the version differences.

I think it's simply that the Kodi addon repository hasn't been updated with the latest build. Unfortunately that means that the only way to update at the moment (and get a functional version) is to download and install the Zip from the github repo.
Cool, it works perfectly again with a manual installation of the latest version.
However, by manually installing this version, will automatic updates continue?

The answer is no
You must check manually if there is a new version from public repo.
If there is a new version you can install this version then automatic update start again
Hi, I got the latest from github (7.0.3.2) and was able to do a search but was unable to watch any videos. I checked my log and it said it was a 400 - bad request error.
Using osmc with pi 4.
