I can see all the available videos, but when I select any of them this is what I get.  I tried restoring an older version of the addon from a backintime backup, and got the same thing.  In case it matters I am running Ubuntu 22.04.4 LTS and Kodi nexus version 20.2, the youtube addon (after restoring the previous version) is 7.0.4+nexus 1.
The problem for me too (Windows 11)
(I apologize for the two previous posts Created by mistake)

Same here. Any fix?
I had the same on screen error about Kodi not being able to play on 7.0.4+matrix so I installed 7.0.4+nexus and still having the same issue.

Youtube 6.8.25 was the best. Never had issues in years.

Rolling back to 7.0.3.2 fixed it for me. 7.0.4 and up seem to suffer from this.
(2024-03-28, 03:08)oldtvwatcher Wrote: [ -> ]EDIT: Turns out that when I restored the old version of the addon, I only renamed the new one, so if restoring the old one didn't work I could put the new one back.  I guess you have to completely move the non-working version out of the addons directory - once I did that and rebooted, the old version started working again.  I think Kodi was still finding the new one even though it had been renamed and was trying to use it.

How did you "rename" the other copy of Youtube?

From that issue
Quote:Update to the latest Youtube 7.0.5 beta 1 development build which resolves issues.
7.0.5 beta1 worked for me (Kodi 20).
Edit: Other 7.0.5.beta1 releases https://github.com/anxdpanic/plugin.vide...e/releases
Weird that's what triggered it for me.

Fantastic. As above, simply installing 7.05.beta1 fixes it. No other actions were required.

Kind Regards.

edit: tested on 20.3.0 and 21.0-rc1 both working
I can confirm the issue is still there in 7.0.5 beta1 on Kodi 20.2 Nexus (coreelec). For me, I have to go back to 7.0.3.2
I updated to 7.05 beta1 and I still have the win 10013 error. I have 3 other installs and only one with this issue. What's weird is that everything plays fine. Just keep getting the error.

Edit: changed the http port in youtube settings to 0 and it seems to have removed that win 1003 error

Hello thank you for sharing! I am on Kodi 19.3 and tried 7.0.5 beta1 and saw your post  Tongue 7.0.3.2 worked for me as well!
Youtube just keep crashing and refusing to load right after I install the addon
Error : "Youtube error: Check log for more info..."
Log: https://paste.kodi.tv/muqifacoca.kodi
Also I am a newbie to Kodi, if that is important...
tl;dr: I was using v7.0.4, had to downgrade to 7.0.3.2 to get the YouTube add-on to work

I was running YouTube add-on v7.0.4 on Kodi 19.4 on Debian Bullseye, and I had the same issue with the YouTube add-on displaying a "The following content is not available on this app" message when trying to play a video.

I tried upgrading to v7.0.5+beta.1 (official|unofficial; I tried both), but then I got the following error upon trying to load my subscriptions: https://paste.kodi.tv/canoginazo.kodi

I downgraded to v7.0.3.2.matrix.unofficial and everything appears to work as expected.
