FYI,

My system crashes hard when trying to play .webm videos.
e.g. > https://dp8hsntg6do36.cloudfront.net/580...4high.webm

Maybe it's just me Huh or is it?
@divingmule please upload your crashlog.

Yes, I can reproduce. The video is 1920x1080 VP8 which Pi doesn't have hardware for decoding. so we will never play this file successfully.
But avoiding the crash would be good. I'll have a look.

It jumps back to the beginning of the recording. Very annoying.

This also happens with the #1227 build. It seems to be (mostly?) related to old recordings that were recorded by WMC. I will attempt to create a short(er) file that shows the problem I can post.

Hi,

I would like to report another cec issue, which has not been discussed before.

The second switch in libcec control panel does not seem to work. The input on AVR is switched to Kodi at startup regardless of switch state in Millhouse builds 27.12.2016 and 19.12.2016 at least, while in official alpha libreelec version from 21.12.2016 Kodi does not switch AVR's input if the switch is set to off in control panel. All mentioned builds have libcec 4.0 v1.

Also in Millhouse builds cec function stops each time after any setting is confirmed in libcec control panel, so no keypresses are registered by Kodi anymore.
One has to reboot libreelec to get cec working again.

It happens whether playing though wmc pvr plugin, or via plain videos.

It's not every time, but it's frequent.

I've been unable to reduce the size and still get the problem to happen (tried 10, 20 and 30 minute recordings)

I can put up the whole file, but it's rather long (8.6G)

Suggestions welcome.

You're sure this started with #1212b?

No, sorry, I didn't mean to imply that it started with #1212b, I just meant that's what I was running when I noticed it. (in case it had been fixed since, which I now know it hasn't, I just checked #1228)

I just checked a few random versions going all the way back to #0330 (oldest in archive) and I can still make it happen. Either it's something with my config triggering it, or this bug has whiskers.
Check that your adaptive seek settings are not screwed up.

It would also be worth testing with a clean .kodi (and default settings):
Code:
systemctl stop kodi
mv /storage/.kodi /storage/.kodi.bak
reboot

You can restore your original .kodi after testing:

Code:
systemctl stop kodi
rm -fr /storage/.kodi
mv /storage/.kodi.bak /storage/.kodi
reboot
Hello,

I am having trouble downloading the latest build. Its (the download) very slow compared to previous versions. When its ready and i try to update the rpi2 the file is corrupted. This seems to be the case since the first build of the 27th.

I tried both a wired and a wireless connection. Also the windows version of kodi seems to download fast as usual.

Am I doing something wrong?

Tnx Sjak
hello Sjak,
my download over PC of the recent build needs only 2-3 min in germany.
Also over RPi/libreelec/System/update channel - Milhouse 8/ avaible Versions there is no problem (1m54s).
