Hopefully someone can help. I've had an issue with Kodi crashing using the Titan skin from Fuchs repo for a while now on all devices so, today, I tried to get to the root of the cause. I'm no closer really but, it seems, the skin or one of the dependencies is causing the crash. I installed Matrix 19.4 on Windows 10, fresh with no addons (just the default "Vanilla" addons), and then installed just the skin. I set it to Titan Tiles 3 rows then, Kodi crashes again after getting a skin helper service error notification a couple of times. I can't figure it out so, I'm hoping someone here has an idea. Here is my Windows log if it helps:

Hi,

I have an Odroid N2 running coreelec with Kodi 18 and the Titan Vanilla skin.

I now wanted to update to the newest version of coreelec with Kodi 19.
Because the Vanilla Skin isn't supported anymore I installed the Titan version from the fuchs repo.
The Problem is, that my player freezes when playing videos. This happens randomly.
I noticed that my log is full of messages like:
2022-07-28 13:14:11.617 T:5172     INFO <general>: UpdateDetailsForMovie: Starting updates for movie 1868
2022-07-28 13:14:11.626 T:5172     INFO <general>: UpdateDetailsForMovie: Finished updates for movie 1868
2022-07-28 13:14:23.480 T:5172     INFO <general>: UpdateDetailsForMovie: Starting updates for movie 1893
2022-07-28 13:14:23.494 T:5172     INFO <general>: UpdateDetailsForMovie: Finished updates for movie 1893
2022-07-28 13:14:24.940 T:4235     INFO <general>: UpdateDetailsForMovie: Starting updates for movie 1941
2022-07-28 13:14:24.949 T:4235     INFO <general>: UpdateDetailsForMovie: Finished updates for movie 1941

On my old system, there were no lines like that in my log.

So I did a fresh install with the new coreelec version (without Titan Skin) and started to play a movie.
The movie plays fine and there are no such entries in the log file.

Then I installed the Titan skin, switched to the skin and started to play a movie.
Now the log is begining to fill with theses lines. After some time (40 min.) the machine freezes.

Any idea?

Kodi has done a conversion on first startup from MyVideos116 to MyVideos119. Now it uses the 119 database. Thought that this is okay.

Hi

Leave kodi open a night.
I can try that.
But what amazes me is that after a fresh install of Kodi with only the default Estuary skin there are no "UpdateDetailsForMovie:" in the log. These lines only show up after I have installed and activated Titan. Even if I then select a different skin, the lines remain.

Therefore, I assumed that these update processes are initiated by Titan. The funny thing is that the movie numbers also repeats regularly.
Yes
I thik updating is because skin helper services.
( not shure)

Look here the same problem.
The cause was a corrupted database.

Skin Helper Service searches for missing data on movies or tv shows and stores them in simpelcache.db.

@Fuchs2468 That is better for sure, the transparency fix makes it more readable on lighter backgrounds.

Thanks for the update!

Skin Helper Service searches for missing data on movies or tv shows and stores them in simpelcache.db.

Where can I find this simplecache.db?
My video database is hostet on a synology mysql server. All other databases are in kodi/userdata/databases.

But nowhere is a simplecache.db

If this is a corrupted database, any hints how to fix this?
