First things first, a big thanks for this wonderful skin... it really looks great on my ATV2
Now, a quick question: I've set my language to French, and most of the UI is indeed translated... but on the home screen, capitalization of the words fails on the non-ASCII letters (like in “SéRIES TV” — é instead of É — or “SYSTèME” — è / È)... is there anything I can do to correct that?

Im using cinema script but maybe its possible to have a option on the skin to disable the loading screen that comes when starting a movie
Does anybody know if there is there a way to get "symbols" (i.e. characters like :,./? etc.) from the on screen keyboard in this skin?

Also Xbmc is a wonderful media player, but it lacks some modern fuctions. One of these is some notion of a Watchlist. Line up some movies, or shows for watching later. I understand playlists etc. But the generic nature does not lend itself to practical usability for the scenario I described above. And favourites do not reslove as library items so that falters also.

I've created a playlist for Recently Watched. Works fine via smart playlist. I linked a sub movie menu to it. All good, except the Sorting gets altered the instant you change it in any other library view. You can imagine the ideal would be for it forced to sort according to playlist, aka....most recent item first. Is there any way to do this? i.e. To behave like the Latest movies submenu - sort order locked!
Force Recently Played sort order - even include such a useful function out of the box in the skin, not rely on user to create such a playlist
c) Socialising the Xbmc experience is coming along with Trakt.tv and SharetThe.tv. The API's are maturing. Would be useful keeping an eye on these for progress and integrating them into the default skin functionality. Ability to rate movies, recommend movies to friends, see what friends are watching & have watched, etc. etc.
Keep an eye on maturity of existing Social extensions and integrate out of the box
d) Breadcrumb navigation, same as Windows Media Center or essentially a Web Browser - we're all used to it and know what to expect. i.e Going back takes you to the previous screen. Scenario - Hitting menu takes you to the "Home" screen...but ooops, I didn't mean it....hit back...ahh thats where I was.

1. could you add an function to add video-addons or favorites to the movie submenu ?
2. Could you add for the widget last movies an function to change between stars rating and numbers ?
3. For the widget last movies when i scroll over the movies and on the left side stand plot and runing time. Could you change running time to runtime ? Becaus in german the translate was very bad from running time, runtime has a better translate. If you couldnt change that, could you tell me which xml file it is.

No, because the recent/random items script pulls it's data straight from the database and there it is stored as 8.9000000. Doesn't look good.

I will make the label as it is in the library views for consistency reasons.

I wish I could help with coding.....I feel like I keep dropping requests with no way to help out. Lovin' your work however......I feel like we have a similar mindset for how things should look and function.
Question: When in lowlist and banners are enabled would it be possible while at show level to have it pull a poster.jpg if there is one located in the folder, similar to how it does at season level? It might give better uniformity when changing between views.

IMO it might look cleaner if the nowplayline.png was a fading transparent gradient

I use the nowplayline.png quite a bit throughout the skin (mostly as seperator) I take it you mean in the now playing home screen?
In Low List videowindow is meant to play in background in full screen dimensions, I can make the trailer play full screen default though?
I'll have a look at the performance drop if I use poster.jpg, any textures that are loaded outside the skin are a hit to smooth scrolling. See the extrathumbs view in showcase for instance. It's still good, but the fanart view I feel scrolls smoother.

I'm not sure if this is the answer to what is causing the mix-up of non-ASCII characters, but when I saw the following post in another thread I thought it might have something to do with your issue:

Thus, the utf8 paths in your database on windows are perfectly valid (composed) utf8 in the XML. It's just not the same as the utf8 given by the apple filesystem/OS.
I'm not sure whether there is a reasonable fix for this or not. One option is ensuring at the filesystem layer that everything is in composed utf8 by the time it hits XBMC. This will, however, break anything that is on the local filesystem and doesn't go through our vfs (though this is likely not an issue, given that really only files in the XBMC installation do this).
I'm not sure what smb:// pointing to an OSX share gives you. That will be most interesting.

thread it came from was about transferring a database file from a PC to the ATV2 and losing posters etc for any file named with non-ASCII characters. Doesn't necessarily provide a solution, but I hope that this sheds some light on the problem... but I might be
totally wrong and this doesn't have anything to do with it!
BTW: @Big Noid: thanks for pointing out where the symbols are on the on-screen keyboard. Fantastic work on the skin!
Request: cover/icon size in video plugins to be a square shape rather than rectangle as those icons are equal size X size if you know what I mean. And maybe a vew to make it more.... tv channel selection like.
Request 2: scanning dialogues (music and video) to be shrunk on the home menu as they are quite a bit too big.

great skin u have here Big_Noid. the only things as far i can see that the skin needs is more viewtypes for both the movie and tv show sections. a bannerview and smaller landscape (with banner.jpg and landscape.jpg support as not to interfere with the poster views) view would do this skin nicely. also, as said in numerous posts i'm sure, Cinema Experience support would also be a great addition. Great skin non-the-less.
