I really really really want to configure nox 3.0 to have a cd wall, while playing music.

I am having trouble figuring out how though...

Could someone point me in the right direction.

The skin talks of wall viz Huh When trying to enable it.

Searching doesn´t turn up much info

Thanks

\Me

you have to set the path to the covers in visualisation settings.

Soooeee..
I need all my album covers in a seperate folder ?
How do I accomplish that ?
All I have done is add my \music folder in the initial music setup.
Then all my music populated with covers.

Sorry am quite the noob regarding this matter-
Ok so I have succesfully run the artwork organizer and I point the cd Wall viz to the album art folder, created by the artwork organizer.
Still no dice....
Any suggestions?

does it show black squares on home menu? remember that the cdwall background only shows up on home menu when music is playing.
Hi guys, thanks very much for all your work with Aeon Nox. I've been through pretty much all the skins you can download, and yours is my favorite! I especially like the way everything just runs smoothly, the coverflow, all the different views and customization.

BUT... I recently reinstalled XBMC and Aeon Nox, and now when I listen to music, it no longer downloads extrafanart and displays as visualization in the background. It only sticks with the (already downloaded) single fanart jpeg. I have it set to the 'Artist fanart (Extrafanart, fanart.jpg, default fanart)' visualization and not the 'Artist Slideshow' one.

I might be wrong, but I'm pretty sure I had it setup (before I reinstalled XBMC) to automatically download fanart (that available from HTbackdrops.com) and display, without choosing 'Artist slideshow' (one of the reasons why I prefer this visual is that Artist slideshow usually takes a while before it find pictures from the next artist).

As I recall, it downloaded the available fanart from htbackdrops, to a folder unknown to me, as soon as I played some music.

Does the fanart HAVE to be stored locally (next to your music files) in order for the 'Artist fanart (Extrafanart, fanart.jpg, default fanart)' visualization to display it properly - or can it be set to auto download the available fanart and display, seemlessly, without me knowing and saving jpegs next to my mp3's? Smile

extrafanart needs to be downloaded (artwork downloader does that) and you also have to set the same path in the skin settings.
artistslideshow should work out of the box. (i suggest turning on "only download 16:9 pics" in artistslideshow plugin settings)

Code:
00:52:38 T:5256   ERROR: XFILE::CDirectory::GetDirectory - Error getting C:\hetoft-hdd\Music\The Beatles/extrafanart\
is that path correct and available?

Thanks for the quick reply.

Hm, okay. So I must remember wrong.

Artwork Downloader only works with movies and tv shows, no?

Artist Slideshow is okay, but the "problem" with that is that it takes a short while for it to update and download pictures of set artist... So that, for instance, when you play an album with various artists, it displays a slideshow for the previous tracks' artist while listening to another artist. If you understand me. Plus, it doesn't even use my locally stored fanart.

No, it's not. Because the way I store my music is by:

Artist - Album (Year)\No. - Title

and not by:

Artist\Album\No. - Title

So that's why it can't find artist fanart there, cus the path doesn't exist. But I never had it that way - and I'm pretty sure it worked before. :/

not possible. we always relied on artist/album structure (best would be artist/year - albumname/, that would give you the possibilty to get cdart on album level.)
Hm, alright. Then it's my memory that's wrong. Big Grin Guess I could restructure my music collection then. But, is it then:

Album artist\Year - Album? Cus if you just use the tag Artist to structure, you would end up with a lot of different folders for the same album for those albums with various artists.

And, if you DO it by Album artist\Year - Album, would it then not result in it not getting fanart for the artists on the albums tagged with Various Artists? Cus then it would only look in that directory and not in the directory for each individual artist.

I hope you understand me, stuff like this can be a bit hard to explain, especially when English is not you main language Big Grin

i don´t have albums with various artists, so i have no idea how cdart manager deals with those.
to explain it another way: we always look for [Path set in skin settings]/[artist as shown in xbmc]/ for extrafanart and
[Path set in skin settings]/[artist as shown in xbmc]/[album year] - [album title as shown in xbmc] for cdart on album level (so second one cannot be shown for various artists albums)
Alright, thanks very much for your quick responses. Smile Guess I'll keep my structure the way it is now and just use Artist Slideshow instead. Thanks anyway.

Well it seems it does, but only after pressing TAB.
Is that how it's supposed to be ?
Was hoping that returning to the homescreen, would show me something other than the now playing widget.
Is that not possible, cd Wall, fanart, ... anything.

if i play a video (in the example from youtube) the now playing widget is shown as in the image...... (with widget --> rotating).

a quick question:
is there a way to do "more trasparent" the widget (as the media bar)?

Hi Phil

Downloaded the latest GIT and don't have movie logo's appearing in the widget info panel as displayed in screenshot. Is there some setting that needs to be enabled for this?

I've customised my home menu to feature video playlists for movie collection, eg. New Releases, Recently Added, Blu-Ray, iMDB Top 250 etc The library panel with the movie count only appears for some video playlists. Is there a specific condition or setting that needs to be enabled for the movie count to be displayed for all video playlists?

Love the new panel look for the widget, are they meant to rotate at all?
