Feature Request:
Add support for Music- and Movie-genre Icons and Fanart from the "Image Resource Select"-script. There are Fanarts for Music and Movies, so the directory selection isn't needed. Or change it to:
- Use addon Fanart
- select directory for your own Fanart
Thx
Hi Mike,
Just noticed you already copied the epg-genres to the main folder
thank you so much, now i havenĀ“t to update the epg-genre after every skin update myself
Really: Thank you!

I presume you mean when you're copying the userdata folder from one system to the other? Assuming that the backgrounds are both accessible from the same path (best to use the special protocol (wiki)), then go to userdata (wiki)/addon_data/script.skinshortcuts/ and edit skin.aeon.nox.silvo.properties in your favourite text editor and change the paths there.
Please backup the file first as the file isn't designed to be manually edited and, if you get it wrong, it can lead to backgrounds disappearing or even the script being unable to build the menu and the best support I'll be able to offer you is to restore your backup or delete the file.
Hi Bob
Sorry to bother u again I have found the script file and the links to the main menu items.
There is a background and background name which says c:// ........I have seen a video which say delete all txt shown so that it shows special://appdata/backgrounds/.......... (Which is where I have saved my background file) But this doesn't work it just knocks all backgrounds and widgets out? What line of script should it say?
Thanks
Ryan
This is a simple example of a .properties file:-
Code:
[['mainmenu', 'weather', 'background', u'/Users/bobC/Pictures/stock_pictures/file0001.jpg'],
['mainmenu', 'weather', 'backgroundName', u'/Users/bobC/Pictures/stock_pictures/file0001.jpg'],
['mainmenu', 'weather', 'icon', 'special://skin/extras/icons/DefaultAddonWeather.png']]
The first column is the group - in your case, if you want to change the location for a main menu item, look for "mainmenu". The second represents the individual item, based on its label (
what the script calls the labelID). The third is the property name, and the fourth is the value.
So, if I wanted to change the 'background' property (which is the path to the background associated with the menu item) for my Weather menu item on the main menu, I'd edit the fourth column of the first row. The 'backgroundName' property is just the name of the background, if the skin wants to display it, and isn't used to determine which image is shown.
If you have edited the relevant line in your own .properties file to the special protocol path and the background now isn't showing either the background isn't where you've specified, or you've made a mistake whilst editing so that Skin Shortcuts can't correctly parse the file. Unfortunately, neither are issues that I can assist with.
Thanks for you help Bob I will give this a try tonight.
What am I doing wrong?
I use Tri-Panel view for TV Shows and Movies. I do not use the option to have backdrops display (Turned off in side panel). I use Recently added movies as a widget with Poster view. When you hover over a movie cover in the widget a backdrop is supposed to display. The only one that will display for ME are the ones that have either been displayed at some point in time or I must turn on backdrops in my Movie Tri-Panel view and briefly touch on each movie one-at-a-time to make it pull in the backdrop. Once it has the backdrop, I guess cached in the thumbnail folder, then the widget will show the backdrop....so I just know I need to change something that it couldn't be a problem this wonderful skin has.
Hello,
I mean to find a bug
Is this a bug or is this correct....
Make a music playlist, and in the view I have only two selection options, list and symbols. is that right?
And the reviews, the stars is missing .....
Hi mike,
This is the italian string file as i said before,
http://ge.tt/8dCM1jY2
The problems are:
1) msgctxt "#31917" this string doesn't change...
2) Please help me finding the string "clear" referred to case style. I think that is located
somewhere in kodi (not in your string.po)
thank you again for your amazing mod!
Hello
is it possible to delete the Time/Date from the menu bar?
Thanks
I just installed this skin on my Fire TV stick having upgraded to Jarvis 16.0. I originally had Aeon Shednox Helix when running Isengard 15.2 and tried the new version but it's a bit heavy for it so chose this one instead. I really like it and all is well apart from one thing. On my TV Shows widgets, I have 'Upcoming Schedule' at the top which gets info from the 'TV Show - Next Aired' add-on and it all works a treat. Underneath that I have 'On Deck To Watch' (I just use Trakt's labels) which gets info from the 'Recent Episodes' selection when creating the widget. It's sorted by 'Date Added' and 'Descending'. All is well up until it builds the menu because then the episodes aren't in order of being aired. Apparently the, widget is adding them from the time they were added to the library, NOT the air date. I remember once I had to edit the 'Default.py' file within 'service.skin.widgets' from 'dateadded' to 'year' as detailed
here and it worked fine but this time it's not working. (Don't know if the 'service.skin.widgets' gets used with this skin...?!)
Is there a fix so that the widget gets populated by the latest aired episodes instead of from the library? It's my only gripe from a great looking and functioning skin.
Hi, first time posting, I hope it's in the right spot.
I am using Aeon nox skin and I set my backgrounds from images I pushed to the SD card. When I reopen kodi, the backgrounds are not there.
Also, when I try to copy my stick the backgrounds do not copy over.
I hope someone can help, I've been searching for an answer for days. Thank you!!

There seems to be some limitations with some library widget plugins in regards to the sort order. You can make an 'episode' smart playlist and add some rules for 'date added' 'after some date' and 'playcount '0'. Then in the widget sort by 'date' and 'descending'.

VoakNook - Some major widgets update will be coming sometime soon. This will fix your issue.
I know this has probably been answered before but can you get Discart on TV Shows or is this just for Movies only,I have never managed to get this to work, any ideas ?
