Just wanted to thank you for all your hard work in keeping this great skin up to date.
Thanks!
(2023-11-25, 00:57)akovia Wrote: [ -> ]Thanks Mike, but I'm not seeing the same options as you.
I'm on an Nvidia Shield if that matters.
I am usually launching from one of the widgets (progress, recently added), but it looks like they use the same menu as well.
I'm also not seeing a way to adjust for subtitle positioning.
Not sure what to say to that other than it's happened to me enough to post about it.
I know it's mostly in anime, but I'll try to dig deeper the next time I see it to try and get to the root.
Maybe it's all from the same sub group, or a bad setting on my system.
Thanks!
The scan for new content is a little wonky. For some reason, you need to be in TV Shows > Titles or your
source folder on the exact show you want to update. Any other area and it will not appear. Not in recently added, a playlist
(which looks like it is from your SS), or anywhere else.
My TV Shows Source
It isn't the most intuitive but you need to press OK/Enter on remote/keyboard to cycle to the subtitle positioning. It will turn blue for you and is there in your screenshot...

That’s an odd one. Might need a
log_file (wiki) to see what is happening. Do you have the Kodi repo version of script.skinvariables installed? Using the version from Kodi repo, which is pretty old, at version 0.2.5 or something like that would likely cause problems. Pretty sure jurialmunkey’s repo has v2.0.5 and might solve this issue. If you don’t even have that installed at all then I will definitely need a log.

I'm guessing this is a core issue then and there isn't an easy way to circumvent?
It's unfortunate because I hardly ever go directly into the Titles section unless I'm just browsing as I have a large library.
Accessing through the
Progress/Recently Added is so much easier and efficient.

Sorry I didn't figure that out myself. I only tried the arrow keys. Will give it a go when I get home.
Thanks!

Thanks, this is exactly what I needed. No, you should not need to have Skin Variables installed. The issue is that I'm a dum dum and did not account for the missing EXP in my conditions due to my adding the script-skinviewtypes-includes.xml to my gitignore. I need to remove that and provide a default one. Will update that on GitHub asap.

Correct, it's a Kodi core thing.
Hey Mike
Great work with the skin.
Is it possible to have the icons in the video - file section smaller?
On the right side i can choose between list and icon, but not to have small icons.
Would like to make the screen like in the amber skin
Now they take almost the complete screen.

Other than personal preference I don't see any issues so no plans to change that ATM. I might be able to look into adding more options for that content type but it would be after Omega release.

Thanks that would be great because i use that section a lot, it is the only thing i miss in this great skin.
H.
Great to see you working on this already Mike, props. I read about the Versions/Extras features a while back and was quietly hoping they'd make it to AN:SiLVO some day, but here we are already!
I think having Versions and Extras on separate screens, with a press left to toggle is the better of the two options suggested. Just feels neater and more organised that way.
Would there be a way/option to prompt for version (where more than one exists) when hitting the normal "Play" button? I do have a few movies in my collection with multiple versions but I'm not sure I'd remember that when browsing the library and picking something to watch. The version window popping up at that point would be greatly appreciated. I haven't actually tried this out yet, so maybe this is already standard behaviour but asking just in case it isn't!
Hi @
mikeSiLVO
Wondering if you can check these couple of PVR releated issues...
1. Reduce size of channel logo to fit allotted area. Also, wondering if the Aeon Nox Silvo banner needs to be there? Maybe even reduce the horizontal width of the logo area, and increase the width of the plot description area?
2. Aeon Nox Silvo logo seems to be a bit distracting. also, the OK button is part off the screen. Probably need to increase the width of the plot description area?
3. Any chance of including an icon in the Guide to show scheduled recordings?
(2023-11-26, 08:41)mikeSiLVO Wrote: [ -> ]The latest Omega installs have a Video Versions and Extras feature added. I'm trying out some WIP (work in progress) layouts. One is a combined view for Versions and Extras while the other will require a press to the left to show Extras when there are any available. This is a brand new thingy so I'm trying out different options. I will show screenshots below but, currently, master branch has the combined option and test_layout_videoversions branch is separated. Any suggestions, within reason, would be appreciated
Nice work. While not a Aeon Nox user, I'm looking to improve the Estuary look from what was merged for Video Versions. I already have an PR open for chnages to Estuary, but I'm now wondering if something similar to what you've done with the seperated look in test_layout_videoversions branch might suit Estuary also. So thanks for pushing that code publically as it's given me pause for thought for what's best for Estuary.
This would be really nice especially if it supported up arrow to show the full view. Many times I like to pause to look at or read something in the frame so the full view blocks it. Other times I want to see the plot, time left or episode number, date, etc.
In post #11,019 I see multiple ratings in the screen shot. How do you get those.
I'm using Ember Media Manager to scrape and the setting for ratings only allows one source.
