thank you very much for taking care of my scroll bar problem. Unfortunately, the fix does not work for me. I have no scroll bar in list view in music AND movies section. Scroll bars appear in movies tripanel (which i use as a workaround for me for movies) but not in list view. In music section there is a scroll bar in right view, but not in list view or tripanel view. That's what i observed. As mentioned, this is only on Leia, on Krypton everything works well.
Thank you very much for your help. fred76
This is another instance of lack of info provided. It is really important to provide as much as possible because I do not use Slimlist so I did not think about checking it. The settings you enable are important in tracking down where the issue is.

Also you did say "I get the scroll bar in Leia's TriPanel View but not in the simple list view" which to me says that TriPanel is working.

Now, it should be fixed on Git... Hopefully... Unless there is any more info you have not shared... Huh

Dear mikeSiLVO,
thank you for your efforts and patience. I was not aware that Slimlist setting could affect this behaviour. Right now, everything is working like a charm. Sorry about the hassle and many thanks!
Hey.

So I’ve been trying to get two things to work, if it is even possible to do. Maybe someone out there is more proficient than I am.

1. Is it possible to have a playlist that randomly plays a whole(or all) of an artists albums, that is to say that it goes through one artist and randomly chooses the next, not only per song basis.
Maybe I should’ve just asked how to get party mode for artists....

2. How can I get kodi to play personal video files randomly from a folder that is not scanned into the library, since they are home videos? I know how to do this by choosing the folder, but I’d want a submenu shortcut to do it with just one button press.

Try this as a submenu item Using "Change Action" then Scroll all the way to Custom Item instead of using Choose Item For Menu. Enter this line in the space provided:

ActivateWindow(Videos,smb://path_to_files/,return)

Ex. ActivateWindow(Videos,smb://mycomputername/video_folder/,return) That target folder must be shared with everyone if it's on a Windows PC and accessible via smb. To test the folder's access to smb (this should probably be the 1st thing to do) use the Kodi file manager and see if you can set it as an smb source.
The way I do it is to create a new library source, point it to the desired folder, leave it as "None" for type. Be sure "Exclude from scans" is checked. Then when you set your menu or submenu item, just go to library > sources, select that one.

No clue on the "randomly" part... possible with music, don't know about videos.

ETA: Perhaps you could accomplish it by creating a Smart Playlist based on the source folder, set order to "Random"? Then use that for your Menu or Submenu link.
I think I like that better than the way I've been doing it! Thanks pagali! It's easier to setup. The command line I gave above looks like this:

Code:
ActivateWindow(Videos,smb://path_to_files/,return)

When I do it as described by pagali it looks like this:

Code:
ActivateWindow(Videos,"smb://path_to_files/",return)

Both methods seem to work just fine but pagali's is easier to achieve!

Thanks for the help.

I was maybe not totally clear in what I am trying to do. I am trying to instantly play videos from that folder, not only opening the folder itself. I want to click on a submenu or main menu item et voila, it starts.

I want it to start all the videos on shuffle.

And the music thing won’t work, since I have all music in separate artist folders inside the main music folder, as it should be for music icons.

I want to play those artist folders randomly per artist.
Hi Mike, thanks for this great mod. The customization options are incredible.

I have one question, hopefully you can help me. I am trying to change the location of Widget1 and Widget 2 on the Home screen. I noticed they changed positions based on whether the horizontal menu is center (default) or low menu.

I got somewhat acquaintance with modifying skin files, but for the life of me, I can't find the file where I can change the top/left margin for the location of the widgets in the home screen.

Thanks!!!!!

1) I always listen to music on random so what I do is click the play button on an artist then enable shuffle in the sidemenu or fullscreen Music OSD. Kodi remembers shuffle so then press stop and restart playing the artist and it will play all the artists songs. If you want to repeat then you can enable repeat all in the Music OSD and Kodi remembers that setting too. Once you have it the way you want then just click play on any artist and you can even add more artists using Context menu > Queue item.

2) You might be able to use this Add-on and use RunScript(script.playrandomvideos...) as a custom submenu item. There is more info in the Add-ons forum thread link posted.

Started using this skin for Leia. Loving it so far. I noticed 2 minor issues with Live TV. If I select Genre Colours, I get the same colour for all EPG Genres. Also on loading the side menu and scrolling down using keyboard it doesn't reach the Live TV settings menu item and go back into the EPG.

Any new on this?
Also want to try coloured epg but just get green background for all shows in guide window when acivating "colors in genres".
I am using kodi 17.4 with latest available skin from repo.

Would be nice if anyone could help us Wink

thx

Genres are provided by your backend. Check with them to make sure they are using/providing the correct genre codes.

thx, Mike for your answer.
I have figured it out.
I am using WebGrab+ to grab EPG from a german guide site and import this into MPTVServer.
The epg genres have nothing todo with the kodi genres and are not correctly mapped.
But, when il switch the PVR plugin setting "Use EPG Genre Text" the genres where displayed in Aeon NOX, but all are green.

Now i have generated a png for every genre (600+) and placed it in new_pvr\epg-genres under media folder of the skin.
In Aeon NOX i have activated LiveTV -> epg colors -> light epg colors.

It works, my EPG is now colored Angel

One question regarding the new_pvr\epg-genres folder, on skin update, will it survive?

thx

Sorry to say but unfortunately it will not... All Kodi add-ons update the same way which is delete all folder contents and re-install with the latest update. I hope that MPTVServer and WebGrab+ are legal and if so just ask the backend provider developers to use the standardized Kodi genre ids instead of naming them with 600+ who knows what options cause having 600+ colors is ridiculous if you think about it Nod. It is impossible to account for all combinations so it is best if all backends use the same way to display info including genres Wink
